Φ Unrestricted Philosophy - What is Space? Φ The original intent of ours in the creation of this website was to post papers which would embody a journey through an interesting myriad of philosophical material. By writing on a myriad of subject material our writings would be “unrestricted” in just this sense, hence the website’s title. As our papers were written, however, we found ourselves focused really on only one philosophical theme, namely, space. To acknowledge this fact does not render our writings as too “unrestricted” in the philosophical sense, we’ll admit. Admittedly, however, we did with respect to this one theme address a number of related subthemes, if one will. (As discussed in our first two papers, the first one especially, our proposal for a so-called “Wittgensteinian-Waismannian” dissolution of the question “what is space?” as a means of resolving such said question, as opposed to “answering” it by way of a definitional statement, stands as an example of just such a subtheme.) In this sense the title “Unrestricted Philosophy” is allowable, if one will, though perhaps a tad bit misleading. Nevertheless, in the course of time we were able to painstakingly piece together six papers for consumption, six papers which differ in varying degrees in terms of their pertinence towards space. These papers are as follows: 1. A Wittgensteinian-Waismannian Dissolution of the Question of Space
2.
Thoughts
Concerning Wittgensteinian-Waismannian Dissolution in General
3.
Complimentary Investigations into Space 4.
What the Man
in the Street Knows 5. Obscurations of the Definitional Kind
6. Space, Games, Art and Justice With our sixth paper we reached the end of our inquiry into (1) space, (2) the Socratic question of X “what is X?”, and (3) unrestricted philosophy in general.
